Tigger is going to the T.R.N.C.

Tigger

Welcome to my Blog

So..... it was like this ....July 2007 they packed me off to the deluxe cattery in the countryside for 2 weeks, whilst they went to Northern Cyprus.

Apparently, in 2009 I'm off to the T.R.N.C. We are all going to spend our twilight years there.

They came back and showed me pictures of my new home, they were delighted, I was perplexed, I've seen better looking orange crates. However, the views are stunning, wonderful mountains and clear blue sea and I am told, mostly all year round sunshine. They told me I can sleep on the terraces and just worship the sun. I have tried sun worship a few times here in the UK but it doesn't last long. These days I do not want to stray away from my basket next to the radiator. Correct me if I am wrong but being a creature whose ancestors were from Central or North Africa, I have real problems with the UK weather and just look grumpy all the time in the winter.

They bought off-plan. Not everybody favours this and there have been many many horror stories about buying off-plan abroad not just in Northern Cyprus. If you ensure that you find a reputable builder, who can show you finished projects and you can meet people who are happily living in the houses built previously and have electriciity and water connected, then basically it is a great way to purchase. My folks, have been involved with overseas property for a long time and introduce people to reputable builders and will never advise anybody to contact developers/builders who they have not met and vetted personally. http://www.letz-gonorthcyprus.com/
The orange crates have moved on and in their place stand 2 new gleaming villas that are beginning to take shape ) they bought 2 (1 each). Next door hopefully will be rented or perhaps sold when ready.

We realise we are not experts on everything relating to North Cyprus because as yet we have never lived there, we have, however, been involved in selling property in Northern Cyprus for the last few years and have many happy customers who have remained friends and we are now in a position to make a a committment ourselves . We fell under the spell of this charming island, and we (and Tigger) just like many other families , whose children have moved on feel it is time for us now and we hope, a better life .This blog is to pass on advice, information and tips and lightheartedly chart our journey from now on
